Today we celebrated our awesome front desk secretary, Mrs. Sager, for administrative professionals’ day with songs, gifts, flowers, and cards. Thank you to Mrs. Panciera and Mrs. Zorger for snapping these impromptu pictures of the kids dropping off gifts from the classrooms.

A Huge Congratulations to our two Saint James School students who had advanced to the State Spelling Bee competition (which was held this past weekend):
** 6th grader Isabel T. took 1st place in the state competition for the 6th grade category!
** 5th grader Christian T. took 2nd place/runner up in the state competition for the 5th grade category!
Both Isabel and Christian had previously taken 1st place in the Regional Spelling Bee competition back in March and were competing against other regional winners in Connecticut.

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the Yard Goats game yesterday! We had over 150 tickets sold – a great turnout and a beautiful day to watch baseball!! Thank you to all the UCONN student volunteers who brought the Junior Achievement program to Saint James School today.
Through Junior Achievement, our K-8th grade students spend an entire day working on basic concepts of business and economics at an age-appropriate level. Each grade has a specific “curriculum” the facilitators present in addition to bringing their own real-life experiences into the discussion.
It’s a fun day that ties in concepts like money management, good communication skills, and entrepreneurship as well as economic concepts and facts about the working world.

Tomorrow (Friday) Saint James School will host the Junior Achievement Program for our students so there will be no gym classes. All students should wear their regular uniform to school tomorrow.
There are still spaces available for Mother/Daughter Tea. Attached below is a copy of the invitation. Please note, the event will take place at the Assumption Church Hall this year. RSVPs are due Monday, April 23.
