State Science Fair!
Congratulations to our 5 teams of seventh grade students who are heading on to the State Science Fair! Today Mrs. Plante hosted a congratulatory lunch/strategy session to share feedback from the local judges and talk strategy for the State competition, which will be held March 11-16th at Quinnipiac University. Good luck Sabers!

Pre-K Open House on Saturday
This Saturday, February 2nd, Saint James School will be hosting a “Drop-In” Open House at our Pre-K facility between the hours of 10:00am – 12:00pm. Please help us spread the word to any families you may know that may be interested.
Any current SJS families with a child that will be entering our Pre-K program next year are also welcome to attend.
Please note, we are expanding our Pre-K 3-year-old program beginning next year by adding a 5-day morning class and a 5-day full-day (8am – 2pm) class. Space for these additional pre-k3 programs is very limited and first preference will be given to current SJS families based on first-come basis (with completed 2019-2020 paperwork). Students must be fully potty trained (even through nap time) to attend our Pre-K3 and 4 programs.
Hand Writing Contest Winners!
Congratulations to the 1st & 2nd grade winners (and runners up) of the SJS 2019 Zaner-Bloser Handwriting contest! Our two first place winners will now have their beautiful penmanship submitted to the State competition (as you may recall, last year SJS had a State winner). Great job SABERS!!
Grade 1: Mary Pescosolido – 1st Place; Ellery Ernstrom – runner up
Grade 2: Brandon Zyskowski – 1st Place; Madelyne Smith – runner up
Delay Reminder
Just a reminder that on days when we have a two hour delay, there is no before-school care. Students cannot be dropped off anytime before 9:30am and must be here by 9:55am for the final bell.
