On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, Saint James School will participate in the Mathcounts School Competition from 2:10pm till 3:30pm. All students in grades 7 and 8 are welcome to compete! Any students staying after to participate should bring a note to school on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 so that we know who is participating.
Today for their enrichment time, our Kindergarten students worked in small groups to do some simple coding of the Dash Robots, using the Blockly coding program.

SJS Boys Varsity Gold cruised to 6th straight win over St Mary’s of Simsbury Tuesday night, 49 to 32, improving overall record to 6 and 1 on the season. Assoc. Head Coach Mark McMullin spoke to the team’s unified effort, and the concentration down the stretch as Boys out scored St Mary’s 24 to 12 in the 4th Qtr, while making 17 of 24 free throws during the game. Evan A and Ale O lead the team in scoring on Tuesday night. The team has a busy month ahead with 7 more games in January. Next up the team will play St. Tims of West Hartford on Saturday at the Northwest Catholic gym (2:30 pm start).
As a reminder, the Saint James Ski/Snowboard Club starts this Friday (1/10). Students participating (who don’t have a parent coming) may bring their ski equipment to school in the morning and put it inside the gym entrance.
Ski Club volunteers will begin loading the equipment from the gym stairwell onto the bus tomorrow around 1:45pm.
All participating families should have received an email from Mrs. Joyner, our parent volunteer coordinator, last night with additional information regarding Friday’s outing.
