All last week, Saint James School K – 8th grade students participated in the worldwide initiative #HourOfCode2021, in honor of Computer Science Education Week.
Thank you to everyone who supported our $1.00 PJ/Comfy Clothes dress down today. Together we raised over $900 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
This week, all K-8 students will again be participating in the worldwide initiative #HourofCode2021 during their STREAM classes in honor of Computer Science Education Week.
In addition, this year SJS families also are invited to participate in the fun of coding at home by attending a special NATIONAL FAMILY CODE NIGHT on Tues, Dec 7 at 7:00pm. This event is a virtual event geared toward families with children in Kindergarten to Grade 5 and hosted by CS is Elementary. During their art class on Friday, 3rd graders used the dab-and-fold method with markers and model magic to create fun colors for their five-layer ice cream cake slice sculptures. These unique creations will be glazed and saved for display in the Spring art show. Great job Sabers!
