The Saint James Cross Country team finished their regular season with a 1st place win for the girls and 2nd place finish for the boys. Leading the charge for the Sabers was Isabelle B. who placed 2nd, Elizabeth M. in 4th, and  Ally A. in 5th.  Sophie K. & Lindsay O. also finished strong with 8th & 9th place finishes respectively.

The boys were led by 8th grader Ryan L., who placed 5th, followed by Nathan M., Dominic C. and 5th graders AJ B. & Michael R.

Select team members will be competing at the Middle School XC Championships at Wickham Park this Saturday, November 1st starting at 11am. This will conclude Saint James’ Cross Country season.

A huge thanks to Coach O’Neill for all her time and commitment in her first year as coach of the Saint James Cross Country team!  Also, thank you to all the students who participated and their parents for helping make this a great Cross Country season for Saint James School.

Just a reminder that boys basketball will have an Open Gym for 4th & 5th grades tonight from 5:30pm – 6:45pm in the gym.  Boys JV and Varsity tryouts (boys 6th – 8th) will take place this evening from 6:45pm – 8:15pm in the gym.  All boys must have their sports form on file with the school to participate.

The boys basketball parents/players meeting will be held on Wednesday at 6:00pm in the school cafeteria.  All parents of boys playing this season should attend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Many thanks to the Home & School Association (HSA) parent volunteers and our middle school student volunteers for putting together a fabulous Halloween party for our pre-k through 5th grade students this past weekend!  Here are some pictures from Saturday’s event

        

Tryouts for Basketball for girls in grades 4th – 6th will take place after school today in the gym from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.  Varsity Girls Basketball tryouts will take place this evening from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.  Tryouts will also take place on Wednesday at the same times.  The Girls Basketball parents meeting is tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at 6:00pm in the Cafeteria.  A calendar all basketball dates can be found on the Basketball page of the school website (Extra Curricular –> Basketball).

 

 

 

 

The venue for Tuesday’s Cross Country meet has been changed.  The new location is 23 Iron Horse Blvd. in Simsbury.  Please meet at 3:00pm to walk the course.  The schedule on the SJS website homepage and Cross Country page have been updated.
