What is the Saint James School Gala?

The annual Saint James School Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year and a wonderful, adults-only social event for SJS families, alumni, and friends. Attendees have the option to participate in the live and/or silent auctions and bid on things from themed class baskets to vacation getaways! The event also features dinner, dancing, and a whole lot of fun. This year the Gala will be held on March 5th at Georgina’s in Bolton. More information will be sent out as we get closer to the date.

Also, thank you to our wonderful event chairs – Mrs. Herr and Mrs. Meyer – and the many other parent volunteers who helped make this event such a success!

You can still make purchases online through next Friday, September 25th.  Click this link to visit the online store for the SJS Scholastic Book Fair. Online orders will be shipped to SJS at no charge and distributed to your student.

Box Tops – Sept. Submissions Due This Monday 9/21

Each year, Saint James School asks parents to clip “Box Tops for Education” and send them into the school. Each Box Top you clip earns 10₡ for Saint James. Last year, our school earned $1786.00 from Box Tops alone! This year our goal is to raise $2,000.00.

Each month, the class that brings in the most Box Tops will win a free dress down day (date determined by the teacher).
To count for the September Box Tops dress down contest, Box Tops need to be submitted to your child’s teacher by the morning of Monday, September 21. Counting will take place that afternoon and the winning class will be announced.

To learn more about Box Tops, visit the Box Tops For Education Website or contact Saint James School parent volunteer coordinator Mary Beth Dufresne at marybethdufresne@cox.net.

By creating a free account on the Box Tops For Education website, you will also be able to enter contests and give-a-ways for additional free Box Tops for our school.

As always, we appreciate your support of Saint James School!

Family Information Sheet

Please remember to return your family information sheet, with any corrections if necessary, that was sent home at the beginning of school.  This was the one page sheet that listed all your family’s address and contact information.  The sheet should be initialed and returned even if there are no changes.  Thank you.

Meet the Teachers Night

Just a reminder that tonight is our Meet the Teachers event for parents of students in Pre-K through 5th grade (6:30-8:00pm). Students are invited to attend with their parent(s) – siblings may also attend.  The Scholastic Book Fair opens at 6:00pm tonight should you wish to browse for your child or check out the “Teacher Wish Lists” prior to visiting the classrooms.  Representatives from the HSA will also be on hand selling the new Spirit Sticks and SJS key chains.

We look forward to seeing you!
