Mrs. Vignati would like to make sure parents are aware of a voluntary recall by Sanofi US of AUVI-Q (the “talking” Epi-Pen that comes in a square box) due to potential inaccurate dosage delivery. This is the only type of Epi-Pen affected by the recall.
Parents of all children who may use this medication for treatment of anaphylaxis are encouraged to contact their health care provider for further information. The nurse will need parents with students affected by this recall to send in another form of Epi-Pen as soon as possible.
Please share this information with other parents you may know whose child(ren) have an Epi-Pen.
