Varsity Gold Boys Coach's Update

image1

Last week was another strong week for the Saint James Varsity Boys Gold team as they finished league play with their 10th straight league win at St Pauls of Kensington. The team also had an impressive run over the past few weekends participating in the 14-team St Rita’s Tournament in East Haven.  The boys placed second losing a tough game to a very talented Our Lady of Victory, from West Haven on Sunday afternoon.

The Boys and Girls Varsity teams are looking forward to Senior night this Thursday at the SJS gym.  Tip times are 6 pm and 7 pm  with a short presentation honoring these 8th graders playing their last game on SJS court.  Please come out and support your classmates one final time. Hope to see you there!

4th Graders Share Biography Book Reports

Public speaking is just one of the many important skills that students learn at Saint James School.  For this month’s book report, 4th grade students read a biography and presented their research to the class.  Dressing as the subject of their report was optional.  Here are a few of our 4th grade students who chose to dress in costume for their presentation and others presenting or showing their poster reports (click pictures to enlarge).
