Several weeks ago, a few parents and students volunteered to travel to Prospect, Connecticut to record commercials/testimonials on behalf of Saint James School for the Archdiocese of Hartford’s radio station WJMJ.  Many thanks to Brian Nyberg and his daughter Kaitlyn and Kathy Reilly and her boys Michael and Will for volunteering to record testimonials (Unfortunately, Kathy was unable to record due to a backlog).  All recorded spots are currently playing on WJMJ (88.9 FM – Hartford; 93.1 FM – Hamden; 107.1 FM – New Haven; 91.1 Fairfield).

Please note, all commercials/testimonials were written by the parents and students themselves.  A huge thank you to these parents and students for their time and commitment to our school!

Last week was another strong week for the Saint James Varsity Boys Gold team as they finished league play with their 10th straight league win at St Pauls of Kensington. The team also had an impressive run over the past few weekends participating in the 14-team St Rita’s Tournament in East Haven.  The boys placed second losing a tough game to a very talented Our Lady of Victory, from West Haven on Sunday afternoon.

The Boys and Girls Varsity teams are looking forward to Senior night this Thursday at the SJS gym.  Tip times are 6 pm and 7 pm  with a short presentation honoring these 8th graders playing their last game on SJS court.  Please come out and support your classmates one final time. Hope to see you there!

Due to the school being closed today, tonight’s Middle School Dance has been cancelled.  The reschedule date will be announced as soon as we have it.

For parents that use the SJS Extended Day program, please note that January Billing Statements are now available when you pick your child(ren) up from Aftercare.  Anyone needing a 2015 Extended Day/Aftercare Statement of charges for tax purposes please send an email to denisemayo56@msn.com.
