Tonight: "Senior" Night Basketball Games & Concessions

The Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity “Senior” night games will be played this evening, Tuesday, February 14th.   Please consider coming out and cheering on these teams as many of the players will be playing one of their last home games as Saint James School students.
Girl’s Game: 6:00 pm
Boy’s Game: 7:00 pm
In addition, the SJS concession stand will be available for you to purchase candy, chips, water, soda & gatorade during the upcoming senior night basketball games!
The concession stand and its fundraising capabilities will only be successful with your help. Art/Book Club

Mrs. Sabatella and Mrs. Carpenter will host another two sessions of the reading/art club after school (2:00pm – 3:13pm) on March 1st & 15th for students in grades 1 – 3.  A permission slip will be e-mailed out shortly for these dates.

Important Notice Regarding Registration

Please note, several people have returned their registration paperwork without completing the backside of the registration form (which is the SJS Tuition Contract).  Your registration is not complete without this component being filled out and signed.  Please make sure you are completing/submitting all of the following:

  1. The Completed Family Registration Form;
  2. The Completed and signed Tuition Contract;
  3. The Completed Photo Permission Form & Code Red Authorization;
  4. Your $100 (per family) registration fee;

The signed Parish Affiliation form, if applicable, may be turned in separately but must be in no later than July 15th to qualify for the Catholic tuition rate.

Lastly, we are updating our files and are requiring that every student have a copy of their birth certificate on file.  If you did not provide a copy when you registered your child or are unsure if you did, please send in a copy with your registration paperwork.

7th Grade Science Fair

Congratulations to all of our 7th Grade Students on an excellent job at the science fair today.  Students did an excellent job presenting their findings to the younger and older grades as well as the many judges, parents, grandparents, and staff in attendance.  Special thanks to SJS Science Teacher Mrs. Plante for putting this together, and to the many parents who came in to judge the competition.

But we still need your help. If your son is playing, maybe consider coming early for the 6pm girl’s game and helping out at the stand for an hour.  If your daughter is playing, why not have her stay to cheer on the boys at their 7pm game while you volunteer your time to help our school.

Family Dance Party

It isn’t too late to sign up for the Family Dance Party on Friday.  We have over 40 families have signed up so it is sure to be a great time!  There will be something for everyone…hip-hop, rock n’ roll, Disney classics, country line dances, new hits and old favorites.  And there will be lots of tasty treats to share, too!  Please see this flyer (here) for details.
