A huge thank you to everyone that voted for our SJS Scarecrow – we took 1st place in the People’s Choice awards and 2nd place in the Facebook Favorites Competition! Again, special thanks to parent volunteer Mrs. Piotrowski for organizing this for our school and to the other volunteers (parents and students) who helped design and create the scarecrow! We have the BEST community at Saint James School!
Due to school being closed today, a new date for picture retakes will be announced.
Are you looking for a fun AND rewarding activity to do as a family?? Then please join HSA GIVES in raising money and awareness for pediatric cancer. We will be participating in Jamie’s Run on Sunday, November 5th and would love for all of you to join the team!
Registrants are able to run in the 5K, walk in the 3K Charity Walk, or kids (12 and under) can run in the Kids Fun Run. There are also awards and prizes given to the top finishers in several categories.
This fun, family-oriented event has, over the past 7 years, raised $330,000 in the name of Jamie Knotts for cancer programs at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Jamie’s siblings are part of the Saint Bridget School community, so please help us join our larger family!
The event takes place at Standish Park in Wethersfield. Registration begins at 7:30am and the 5K and Charity Walk kick off at 9am. The Kids Fun Run is at 10am and awards will be given at 10:30am.
For more information and to register, please visit Jamiesrun.org and make sure to type in your team name as “Saint James School Sabers” on the registration page. We would love to see you in your favorite SJS spirit wear or SJS Gym Uniform!
Any questions, please contact Kerry Caldwell at kmcaldwell@gmail.com.
