Book & Art Club Pictures

Lots of smiles at the first Book & Art Club of the new school year! This fun, after-school activity for students in 1st – 3rd grade involves reading a story with SJS Librarian, Mrs. Carpenter, then making art projects related to the story with (Elementary) Art Teacher, Mrs. Sabatella.

Boys Basketball Tonight

This evening there will be an Open Gym tonight (10/26) from 4:30pm – 6:00pm for boys in 4th & 5th grade that are registered to play basketball this year. Please try to have your son at this event so that we can assess each player with the goal of creating three equally-skilled teams.

Boys Varsity Basketball (grades 7 & 8) will host tryouts (skill assessment) this evening (10/26) from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in the gym.  All students will be placed on a team.

Girls Varsity Basketball (grades 6 – 8) have an Open Gym on Monday, October 30th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

Last Chance: Chromebook Insurance Grades 6-8

Tomorrow is the last possible day to turn in Chromebook Insurance Forms for students in Grades 6-8.  Please make sure you have filled one out for your student(s) and that your child has turned it in to their teacher.  You will receive an email from FACTS notifying you that your account is being charged when we receive your form.

Cherrydale Order Pick-Up Today

Cherrydale Fundraiser orders will be available for pickup today – Wednesday, October 25 – at 2:00 on the stage (for students attending an after school activity, you can pick your order up on the stage in the gym after that activity (choir, book/art club, XC, szopka club).

Frozen food orders MUST be picked up today as we have no way to keep them refrigerated.

No Gym Uniforms Tomorrow

All students should be dressed in their regular uniform tomorrow.  Students in 7th grade may bring their gym uniform to change into if they are not going home with their grandparent/special person.

Grandparents’ & Special Persons’ Day REMINDER

Please remember to tell your visitor(s) for Thursday’s Grandparents’ & Special Persons’ Day which teacher(s) your child/ren have so that our student and parent volunteers can easily direct them to the correct classrooms following the assembly in the gym.  They gym doors will open for guests at 9:45am.  Grandparents WITH A HANDICAP PERMIT OR SPECIAL PARKING NEEDS may park in the staff lot in front of the school breezeway.

12:05pm Pick-Up Thursday & Aftercare Reminder

Afternoon pick-up tomorrow (10/26) will be in the staff lot between the main school and the pre-kindergarten if your child is not going home with their grandparent(s)/special guest(s).  Please remember tomorrow (Thursday) is a 12:05pm dismissal day.  Students going to Aftercare will need a lunch from home.

Trunk or Treat

The HSA would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out for Trunk or Treat this past weekend!  The trunks and costumes were AMAZING! Special thanks to Mrs. Deschaine for chairing the event and to Mrs. Daley for the cute pictures.
