For the 3rd year in a row, Saint James School is thrilled to announce that two of our students have been designated as State of Connecticut handwriting champions in the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest!
Yesterday afternoon we celebrated our 3 JV Basketball teams with an end of season pizza party and awards ceremony. Last night, we had a wonderful banquet for our 2 varsity basketball teams during which players and their families came together to celebrate the end of another great season!
Thank you to all our Pre-K through Grade 8 students and staff who participated in our $1.00 “Rock Your Socks” Day for World Down Syndrome Day today – together we raised almost $400 for the Down Syndrome Association of Connecticut!!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today we had our very own SJS leprechaun popping up in various classrooms, and our Pre-K through 3rd grade students had fun learning about dental hygiene from the wonderful Dr. Norige of South Windsor Smiles.
This morning Saint James School K-8 students enjoyed an inspiring assembly with Artist-Extraordinaire, Rob Surette. Rob is a Top-Tier Master Fine Artist for Disney and other internationally-known organizations such as Marvel, DreamWorks, and DC Comics. In addition to showcasing his amazing artistic talent, Mr. Surette shared his beautiful and inspiring messages of positivity, perseverance, and using your God-given talents to make a difference.
We are excited to announce the return of our 6-week Summer Camp Program for students that will be part of *Saint James School’s Pre-K4 – 4th Grade* program this coming Fall.
Our 4th & 5th Grade Boys Intramural Basketball program wrapped up this past weekend with playoffs and a pizza party for players and their families. Congratulations to the SJS Blue team for taking 1st place this season, followed by SJS Red, SJS White, and the St. Bridget School team.
Last week SJS 5th graders handed in the final copy of their research report on a famous person along with conducting an oral presentation (in character) to their classmates. After each presentation, audience members were able to pose questions. Awesome job Sabers!!
Today we celebrated Read Across America with special reading activities and a story-book character dress-up day for student in grades K-4.
