We had a wonderful prayer service this morning to kick off Catholic School’s week! Thank you to all the students for a beautiful reminder of why Saint James School is so special!!
And, our 7th grade – under the guidance of Ms. O – put on a hilarious skit to help us “honor” our wonderful staff and teachers (see picture below). We hope to have a copy available to share with our 7th grade parents shortly.
If you use the SJS aftercare program, please note that 2017 tax statements are now available. Please stop by to get yours from Ms. Jean at your convenience.
Below is the link to sign up for the February 6th Game Club. Spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Students who were on the wait list from last time were given priority to sign up.
Saint James School 7th Grade Students recently joined Father Carlson at the Archdiocese of Hartford’s TV studio in Prospect, Connecticut as he Celebrated Mass for broadcast this Sunday (1/28). The Mass will air at 10:00am on WCCT-TV (typically channel 9 or 11 on most cable systems), should you wish to watch, and will be aired throughout Connecticut as well as in parts of Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island. It will also be played on the Archdiocese’s radio station, WJMJ, at noon on Sunday.
Saint James 7th graders served as the readers and alter servers as well as singing in the choir and serving as the in-studio audience. This unique experience also provided students an opportunity to see how a television studio operates “behind the scenes.”
Special thanks to Father Carlson, Assistant Principal Mrs. Anderson, and the 7th grade teachers for helping make this fun experience possible for our students!
In celebration of Catholic Schools Week next week (1/29 – 2/2), we are planning on serving ice cream or popsicles on Friday, February 2nd to all children in the school. (A copy was sent home yesterday/is being sent home today with all students including Pre-K).
All State auditions will be held on Friday (evening) January 26th and Saturday January 27th. Mr. Corcoran will give any auditioning student extra help Thursday morning at 7:30am or Friday morning at 7:30am.
Please save the date for the 24th Annual Saint James School Foundation Golf Classic & Dinner which will be held on May 9th at Manchester Country Club.
