No School Friday & Holy Weekend Schedule

As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow in observance of Good Friday. On behalf of all of us at Saint James School and Saint James Parish, we wish you a most happy and holy Easter weekend. May the Lord bless you and your family as we honor that Christ died for us, was buried, and is risen.

New SJS Soccer Update & Coupon

SJS Soccer games for the middle school teams are currently scheduled to start on April 7th with the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teams expected to start the following week.

We just received notification (3/29), however, that all fields are “until further notice” and will be evaluated next week. That means no soccer practice Wednesday April 4 and we will need to wait to see if games for the 6th, 7th and 8th grades can be played on April 7.

Yesterday’s Book & Art Club

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Dr. Seuss Book & Art Club this month, Mrs. Sabatella and Mrs. Carpenter hosted a second session yesterday. Here are some cute pictures of the kids and the 8th grade volunteers who helped with the group.

Munson’s Pick-Up TODAY

Munson’s Chocolates orders are available for pick up today (3/28). Great care was taken to sort, check and double check all orders but we ask that you please check your order as well. Lenten Prayer Service Tomorrow at 7:30am

There will be a Lenten Prayer Service tomorrow – March 29th (Thursday) – at 7:30am in Ms. O’s middle school classroom (top floor, Room B207).

In addition, Ms. O has added a special service for the praying of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 7:30am in her room on Friday, April 6th.

We look forward to seeing you and/or your child(ren) there.

MOVIE NIGHT & GRINDER ORDERS DUE TOMORROW

Join in the fun at Family Movie Night on Friday, April 6 in the school gym. It will be a great way to kick-off April vacation with friends! Please see this flyer for details on how to sign up for movie night. We hope you can make it!

We know grabbing dinner beforehand can be a challenge so we are teaming up with Mike’s Pizzeria and offering you the opportunity to pre-order grinders which will be waiting for you when you arrive at movie night. Follow this link to order grinders. You can order even if you are not attending the movie! Grinder orders must be submitted TOMORROW (Thurs 3/29).

YARD GOATS GAME

The HSA invites you to attend a Yard Goats game on Sunday, April 22 at 1:05pm. If you haven’t been to a Yard Goats game, you can be assured it will be a really fun time! If you have been before, you know you don’t want to miss out! To order tickets for your family, please see the event flyer HERE. Once again, SJS families will have the honor of holding the BIG flag on the field during the singing of The National Anthem. See the photos below from the game we attended in August.

Girls Varsity Championship Game TONIGHT

Soirée Thank You!!

A Great Big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the Soirée this past weekend – particularly event Chair Erin Daley and all the amazing parent volunteers who worked along side her to make this event so successful for our school!

We would especially like to thank everyone who attended the event for their generosity throughout the evening and particularly to Highland Park Market for donating the amazing food and Jen Fiereck for donating her photography services! Together we raised just over $17,000 for our school!!
