In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Mrs. Zorger is hosting a green & white $1.00 dress down day tomorrow – Friday, 3/16. All money raised will be donated to St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which funds pediatric cancer research.
For our Spring community outreach, HSA GIVES is raising money to support pediatric cancer research through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. On Sunday, April 8th at the Hilton Mystic, right across from the Mystic Aquarium, we will be taking part a “hair-raising” event. Please check out our flyer to see what all the “buzz” is about and join us in supporting this vital cause. Every year, 300,000 children world-wide are diagnosed with cancer; they need our help. Yesterday’s Dr. Seuss-themed book and art club, the group read “The Lorax” and made Truffula Tree pictures and Lorax mustaches.
Yesterday’s Board Game Club for students in GRADES 3 – 5 has been rescheduled to next Tuesday, March 20th. There are still a few spots available – if you would like your child to participate, please RSVP HERE. The Saint James School Boys JV (6th grade) Basketball team will play this evening (3/14) at Corpus Christi in Wethersfield in the Deanery Championship Game. They will play St. Mary’s of Simsbury beginning at 7:00pm. All families are encouraged to come out and cheer on our team. Good luck Sabers!!
Thursday’s hot lunch will be a Grilled Chicken Patty on a Whole Wheat Roll. Nacho Supreme will not be served this week.

Three St James Basketball team’s advanced to State Tournament quarterfinals this past weekend. Unfortunately Boys and Girls Varsity teams were eliminated. The JV Boys team won a thriller on Sunday over St Bridget’s of Cheshire to Advance to State Semi-finals, this upcoming game is next Saturday at 3 pm at St. Johns of Watertown.
Both Girls Varsity and Boys JV will also be playing in Deanery Championship games:
*Boys JV Championship Game scheduled for Wednesday night at Corpus Christi versus St Mary’s of Simsbury tip time is 7:15 pm

The Father/Daughter Dance is quickly approaching and moms – we need your help! The dance is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 from 6-9pm, and we are looking for volunteers to help decorate the gym the day of the event, to stay during the event and to help clean-up afterwards. Events like this can’t happen without your help! If you are willing to help during any of these times we would love to have you!
If you are unable to help on the day of the event, but would like to assist in planning and organizing the dance, please let us know.
