Please be advised the Pizza Party & Christmas Movie will run from 12:05pm to 4:00pm on December 13th.  The flyer that was previously included in the e-mail blast listed an incorrect ending time.  It has since been replaced on the website, etc. with the correct version (attached again below).

Please note, students must be picked up in the Gym at 4:00pm (or earlier) the afternoon of the event.

Gala Planning Meeting – Tuesday 11/26

The Saint James School Annual Gala Auction & Fundraiser is our largest fundraising event of the year.  We will hold our first planning committee meeting on Tuesday, November 26th at 6:30pm in the Pre-Kindergarten.

Tickets For Turkeys a Success!

Thank you to everyone who donated money for the middle school Tickets for Turkeys fundraiser at last Friday’s Middle School Dance.  Students raised $500 for the purchase of turkeys for Foodshare.   Attached is a picture of three of our 8th grade students along with Mr. Frankovitch, Mr. Devanney, & Mr. Giard from Highland Park Market.

2013 Saint James School Tree of Blessings

Attached please find the ornament order form for the Saint James School 2013 Tree of Blessings.  A hard copy of this form will also be sent home next week (before Thanksgiving) your youngest student.

Families may purchase a beautifully designed cardstock ornament In Memory of or In Honor of a loved one. The ornaments, with loved one’s names, will be displayed on our school Christmas tree.  In addition, a special Prayer Service honoring the named individuals will be held on Friday, December 13th at 8:15am in the gymnasium of St. James School (parents are welcome to attend).

Extra order forms will be available in the school office or at the exits of Saint James Church.  Please have all order forms in by Monday, December 9th.  All proceeds will benefit St. James School.

Archbishop Henry J. Mansell Scholarship Fund

Mansell, a scholarship fund is being created to thank and honor him for his dedication to our Catholic schools.  Pledges and donations in his honor (the Archbishop Henry J. SJS School Directory & Family Business Advertising

Numerous families have requested that the school publish a Family Directory to help parents and students communicate with each other.   The office had previously sent out forms asking parents what information (if any) they wanted to include in this directory.  We are currently pulling the information together to make our family directory.

We would also like to give our Saint James School parents who own their own business (or have a home-based business) an opportunity to advertise in our directory.  This will give other Saint James parents an easy place to consult first when they are in need of goods or services.

The charge to advertise in the directory will be $20 and all ads will be business card size.  The revenue from advertising will go directly to SJS to help defray costs associated with the directory.  If you wish to place an ad, please send an electronic copy of the ad to Amy Guenther at aguenther@saintjamesschool.net and a hard copy of the ad (along with $20 check made out to Saint James School) to attention Amy Guenther, Saint James School Office.  All ads are due in by Friday, November 22nd.
