Today during during their STEM/STREAM class, 6th grade students worked in small groups to plan and construct a tower from dried spaghetti, tape, and string. In addition to standing on its own, the tower also had to be sturdy enough to hold a large Marshmallow on top without collapsing under the weight.
We have the opportunity to have a journalism club here at Saint James School to work on publishing a school newspaper. This week our Pre-K4 program started their themed unit on Apples – reading stories about apples, talking about types of apples, learning about how apples grow, exploring with apples at the Science table, learning apple-related vocabulary words, and of course, lots of apple crafts.
