Students from Pre-K through Grade 8 have been learning about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this week.

In one of his more famous sermons, preached in Detroit in 1954, Dr. King said, “The great problem facing modern man is that the means by which we live have outdistanced the spiritual ends for which we live,” words that still ring true today, 70 years later.  Here at SJS, it remains our hope that through faith-based lessons and values-based discussions, our students will, too, be inspired to shape a better tomorrow through their faith, leadership, and actions.
