As another year of learning comes to a close we wish to Thank You again for choosing to be part of the Saint James School family, and for the various ways that each of you help make Saint James School such a special place.  We wish everyone a healthy, fun, and relaxing Summer Vacation!

Important notes/reminders:

Summer Hours: The school office will be open M – F from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

Teacher Assignments:  Grade 1 – 8 teacher assignments will be e-mailed a few days before school starts; Kindergarten teacher assignments will be sent out shortly along with summer playdate information.

Save the Date:  On Wednesday, August 31st parents (and students) will have an opportunity to drop by Saint James School to bring supplies and meet their child’s homeroom teacher.  Details will be forthcoming closer to the start of school.  The first day of school for K-8 (and Pre-K4 full-day students) is September 1st – a 12:05pm dismissal day (aftercare will be available).

Openings: We still have space available in some of our grades. If you know anyone looking at school options for their child(ren) please have them reach out to Mrs. Guenther.

Extended Day: All families must complete a NEW extended day registration and emergency contact form for each school year. Your child/ren cannot go to aftercare in the fall until we have these documents. If you have not already done so, please submit forms to the school by August 1 to help with staff planning.

Documents, Forms & Calendars: Documents, forms, and calendars will all be available on our website under the Forms/Docs page of our website. This includes the following, which are also noted below for your convenience:

Summer Assignments

* Students in 1st  – 7th grade (entering 2nd – 8th) have a summer assignment this year.  Copies of these assignments have been sent home with all students.

* Our Friendzy program has an entire website dedicated to keeping students’ minds engaged with a variety of arts/crafts, games, book lists, and more!   You can check that out here: Friendzy Summer SEL Hub

Cross Country

Cross Country (open to students in grades 5-8) is scheduled to start shortly after school resumes in September.  If your child/ren are interested in participating, Coach O’Neill has put together this summer training schedule your runner may wish to follow.  Students wishing to participate in the Cross Country program must have the endurance to run distances of 1-3 miles (without stopping) at the start of the season.
