On Saturday the Saint James Middle School Robotics team participated (virtually) in the Archdiocese of Hartford’s VEX Robotics IQ Challenge, which consisted of teams from 10 area schools. Out of the three challenges, SJS took home two 1st place prizes and one runner up!
CONGRATS to our 6th graders, Jameson, Brandon and Gavin, on being CHAMPIONS (1st place) in the Dance Party coding challenge! The judges gave this team a “near perfect score!”
CONGRATS to 8th Grader, Brendan, on being CHAMPION (1st place) in the Cooperative Crystal Challenge!!!! In this corporative challenge, teams’ coding had to work collaboratively and points were awarded for completing tasks (neither team knew the other’s code). Also participating for 8th grade were Stefaniya, Brianna, and Marko.
CONGRATS to our 7th Grade team, Stefan, Alex, Jake and Lucian, for being FINALISTS (2nd place) in the Cooperative Crystal Challenge.
