Congratulations to Saint James School 7th grade students Brendan Abbamonte. and Saanvi Sethi. on their exceptional performances at the Connecticut State Science & Engineering Fair this past weekend! Both students, who had tied for first place at our school’s science fair in February, earned several awards:

Brendan:
* Connecticut Science Fair Association Physical Science Award – 2nd Place
* Stanley Black & Decker Applied Technology Awards Middle School Finalist
* Chosen to compete in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge in Washington DC!

Saanvi:
* Petit Family Foundation Women in Science & Engineering Awards – 2nd Place
* Alexion Biotechnology Awards – 5th Place
* Connecticut College-Physics, Astronomy, & Geophysics Dept. – Junior Award
* J.A. Augustine and H. Glista Award for Excellence in Physical Sciences

A special shout-out also to our Middle School Science Teacher, Mrs. Oei for her efforts preparing the students for this advanced competition! Great job Sabers!!
