With Halloween just a couple of days away, teachers will be starting to talk to students about trick-or-treating safety.

With this in mind, we also want to call your attention to the dangers of button batteries in toys or other items that your children may receive or already have access to.  Especially for babies and younger children, trinkets (toys, remotes, etc.) with small round batteries can easily dislodge and be swallowed, causing severe internal chemical burns and worse.

Please take a moment to think about items your children may have access to and review the flyer below for more information.  We are also asking that parents refrain from sending these items containing a battery into school for birthdays or class parties.  Thank you.
