Yesterday afternoon, SJS K-8 students enjoyed an inspiring assembly with Artist-Extraordinaire, Rob Surette.  Mr. Surette is a Top-Tier Master Fine Artist for Disney and other well-known organizations such as Marvel, DreamWorks, and DC Comics.  In addition to showcasing his amazing artistic talent (painting for us in just minutes the images of Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Jr., and two images of Jesus), Mr. Surette shared important messages about the importance of positivity, perseverance, faith, and using your God-given talents to make a difference.

A product of Catholic Education himself, Mr. Surette spent time after the show chatting with many of our students, and taking a picture with our 8th graders.

Mr. Surette also brought along prints of some of the famous people he has painted over the years and we are excited to share that this absolutely stunning image of Mary will be hanging in our school shortly.  We also are receiving a limited edition print from Mr. Surette to auction off at our Gala in April.
