During STREAM class, 8th graders learned about buoyancy and constructed boats using 10 straws, 5 cups, 1 yard of plastic wrap, and 1 yard of tape.  The design was considered successful if the boat could float for at least 10 seconds while holding a load of 25 pennies. Yesterday the boats were tested and students further competed to see which design could hold the most pennies.  Next up, students will finish updating their lab reports in Google Slides to assess the results of their design and present their project to the class.  Here are a few pictures from the experiment.
