Since they have been learning about forces of motion in Science, today for STREAM with Mrs. Poth, our 3rd graders worked in small groups to create a “roller coaster” out of paper plates and cups.  The challenge was to build a coaster that allowed a marble to safely travel from top to the bottom without falling off the track.  Having already read a book about roller coasters and learning about gravity during their Science lessons, our 3rd grade students were well prepared to meet this challenge head on.
