On Friday, for their first STREAM class of the school year, SJS 2nd graders participated in a fun team-building activity that focused on saving Sam, a worm whose boat has capsized and can’t swim without his life preserver.  The goal was the get the (gummy) worm into the (gummy) life saver using only paperclips and teamwork.

Our 2nd graders had a lot of fun with this activity, and – while not every group accomplished the objective – there was lots of brainstorming, teamwork, and perseverance.  Perfect skills to sharpen on the 2nd day of school!  Here are some pictures from both 2nd grade classes.
