Just in time for Halloween SJS 2nd graders used the Glowforge laser cutter in the Innovation Lab to make these cute, not-so-scary monsters.
To design their monster, each student rolled a pair of dice multiple times, adding the results together after each roll to determine the number of eyes, teeth, arms, and legs their monster would have. Using these specifications, students drew their monsters in pencil, scanned them, and watched while their design was printed and cut. Students also used their imagination and creative writing skills to complete a worksheet detailing the name of their monster and what it wanted to be when it grew up.
Great job Sabers!
