During today’s STREAM class, Mrs. Alexander’s 1st graders listened to the story Robot Ranger – written by SJS graduate William Barry, PhD. Dr. Barry has an extensive background in artificial intelligence and has developed one of the world’s most socially advanced robots. He is also an internationally-recognized expert in the ethical development of advanced AI.

After reading the story, students “designed” their own helpful/ethical AI robot and presented their idea to classmates.
