As part of their science lessons, 1st grade students enjoyed a special presentation on Thursday from local beekeeper Mrs. Beth Werner. Students learned about why bees are vital to our planet and had the opportunity to ask questions of our guest. They also learned about bee activity during the different seasons, the responsibilities of a beekeeper, how honey is collected. Some students even volunteered to try on a beekeeper’s jacket!
