Reminder: Important Notice About FACTS – St. James School

FACTS, our Student Information System (SIS) and tuition management partner, has announced some changes to the FACTS Family Portal effective 4/22/26. Please see the notes below and check out THIS FLYER for more details from FACTS.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):

* Beginning 4/22, families will be required to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on their FACTS Family Portal. This means, in addition to logging in with your username and password, you will be required to enter a multi-digit code (sent to your email) when you log in;

* You CAN use an authenticator app on your phone or computer to bypass this (instructions are in the flyer link above);

* Students accessing the SIS for their test and assignment grades (Gr. 6-8) will NOT be prompted or required to enable MFA.

Usernames & Passwords:

* Usernames now need to be unique across a family’s FACTS accounts. The first time you log in after the update, you may be asked to update your username and password. If prompted for a District Code, our code is SBSJ-CT; New passwords will need to be at least 12 characters in length.

* Saint James School will no longer be able to create a password for users, however, we will be able to email account holders a “reset my password” link should they forget their password.

Tuition Assistance:

* Families with a student in the K-8 program wishing to apply for tuition assistance will now be able to complete the grant & aid application using a link in the Financial section in their Facts Family Portal.
