Congratulations to Saint James School’s 2022-23 volunteers of the year: Joe and Maria Modugno!

Mr. & Mrs. Modugno were presented with the St. John Neumann Award for volunteer service on Monday evening at the Archdiocese of Hartford’s 45th Annual HOPES Dinner, along with other dedicated volunteers from across the region.

Both Mr. & Mrs. Modugno have played key roles at our school over the past several years.  Mrs. Modugno has been instrumental in organizing our school Masses, coordinating our student readers and practicing with them in advance of each Mass.  Mrs. Modugno has also volunteered in many other capacities, including playing a key role in both the Centennial Mass and Open House event from this past weekend.  Mr. Modugno has also volunteered numerous hours of both his own time and his company’s resources to purchase (all but one) and install (all) the filtered water-bottle-filling stations throughout our school.

Please join us in thanking Mr. & Mrs. Modugno for their dedication to our school community next time you see them!
