Radio Commercials – Help Us Spread The Word

Saint James School is looking for a couple of parents and students who would be willing to travel to Prospect, Connecticut in January to record commercials/testimonials on behalf of Saint James School for the Archdiocese of Hartford’s radio station WJMJ (88.9 FM – Hartford).  The spots will air (free of charge!) throughout the latter half of January, during Catholic School’s Week.

Volunteers are encouraged to share a specific and compelling story that expresses why SJS is special to them.  It can be prepared ahead of time and simply read on-air when you get to the studio.   Click HERE to listen to our testimonials from two years ago.

If you are willing to participate or have your child participate in this exciting experience, please e-mail Amy Guenther at aguenther@saintjamesschool.net by the end of the week for additional details. Parents will need to provide transportation for their child(ren) to the studio and arrange for missed school work.

As always, we appreciate any help you can provide in spreading the good news about Saint James School!

Mass Wednesday

As a reminder, on Wednesday, November 22nd, students in grades 1 – 8 will attend Mass at Saint James Church at 9:15am.  All SJS Parents/Guardians/Grandparents are welcome attend the mass – and any school masses that take place throughout the school year (please sit in the back few rows of pews).

Please note, you do not need to be a member of Saint James Church or even a member of the Catholic faith to attend any Saint James School Masses.  We would love to see you there!

The forecast tomorrow is calling for on and off showers in the morning, please make sure your child is dressed in a warm coat with a hood/hat if it looks like it may rain.

Setting Up a Printer on the Chromebook

Attention 6th – 8th Grade Parents,

Attached are the instructions we sent out a while back on adding your home WiFi printer to your child’s Chromebook: Chromebook Printer Set-Up

We also have a great video from 8th Grade student Ryan Barry that shows you how to add a “Cloud-Ready” printer to the Chromebook (if you are unsure if your printer is cloud-ready, look for your printer HERE):   https://youtu.be/ZehBpsrjHyg

If you do not have a “Cloud-Ready” printer but have a printer that you can print to through WiFi, this video will be helpful for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53Qkw-9OHIQ
