A huge thank you to all the families that shopped at our 2021 Scholastic Book Fair! Together we raised approximately $5,000 for our school library and our classrooms!! We are so grateful for the support!
AND, we are excited to announce that 4th Grade won the Extra Change Dress Down Day Contest (note: 4th grade teachers will let their students know which day the dress down will occur). The book raffle winners and free poster winners were also announced (over the intercom) this afternoon by Mrs. Zorger.
If you did not have a chance to order books and would like to do so (or would like to purchase additional items), our ONLINE ORDERING LINK (click to open) will be active until October 17th.
We would like to once again thank Mrs. Poth for volunteering to chair this event for us, and for all the time and energy she put into making it a huge success. And, of course, all the parent and grandparent volunteers who helped with setup and running our book fair this week – Thank You!!
The HSA (Home & School Association) will hold its second meeting of the new school year this evening (10/7), from 7:00-8:00pm in the school cafeteria. We strongly encourage all of our SJS parents/ grandparents to attend to learn about the many fun (and fundraising!) events that will be happening here at school over the next few months and throughout the year.
When you arrive at the school, please ring the buzzer at the breezeway doors and then head downstairs to the cafeteria.

Tomorrow (Thursday) is the last day for students to shop at the Scholastic Book Fair (until 10:00am).
Please be advised the Book & Art Club for 1st and 2nd grade is full for this first session.
As a reminder, our Middle School Students will have an opportunity to visit the Scholastic Book Fair and purchase books tomorrow (Wednesday) during the school day. Students can pay with cash, check payable to St. James HSA, or by using the eWallet option (Please follow this link to learn more about the eWallet).
The book fair will also be open for parents, grandparents, etc. to shop (with or without their students) as follows:
Today (10/5) from 1:15pm-2:45pm
Wednesday (10/6) from 7:15am-7:45am and 1:15pm-2:45pm
(Credit Cards can be used during parent shopping hours)

Box Tops for Education is an easy and fast way to support our school! If you have not already done so, please take a moment to download the Box Tops for Education App and select St James School as your designated school.
Once you have the app, just use the “SCAN” button to scan your store receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app will identify Box Tops products on your receipt and automatically credit it to our school’s earnings. It’s super easy!
Your earnings may seem small but they really do add up! Traditionally we have averaged over $1,500 a year (except for the past 2 years, when numbers were down) with lifetime earnings of over $27,000!
Once we reach out $1,000 goal, our entire school community will earn a free dress down day!
Today’s Cross Country Meet has been cancelled due to the weather. As there is no meet today, the Cross Country team WILL practice after school tomorrow (Tuesday).
