Upcoming Basketball Dates Boys & Girls

Sunday (11/2):  Coach McMullin will be running an optional Open Gym from 1:00pm – 3:00pm for 7th and 8th grade Boys;

Monday (11/3):  All Girls that tried out for JV will practice after school from 2:00pm-4:00pm;

Monday (11/3):  Varsity Girls will practice 5:00pm-7:00pm

Tuesday (11/4):  4th & 5th Grade Boys 5:00pm – 6:30pm

Tuesday (11/4):  Varsity Gold team will meet in Cafeteria from 6:00pm to 6:45pm, then practice 6:45pm  to 8:30pm.

Remember, Basketball sports fees are now due to the office.  $40 for developmental league, $65 for JV and Varsity teams.  For a complete schedule of all upcoming basketball events, please go the Basketball page on the school website (from the main page, select Extra Curricular, then choose Basketball).

Reminders for Monday

Just a reminder that Winter Uniform begins on Monday.  Parent/Teacher Conference Sign Ups also begin this Monday in the Main Hallway.  Yankee Candle Fundraiser orders are due Monday as well.

 

 

 

 

October Box Tops Winner

Congratulations to Mrs. Cunningham’s 1st grade class for winning this month’s dress down day.  Her class collected 720 Box Tops!  Mrs. Cunningham will let her class know when their dress down day will occur.  Mrs. Camposeo came in 2nd with 334.  Mrs. Zorger was close behind with 329.  Thank you for your support and keep sending in those Box Tops!

Basketball Sports Fees Now Due

If your child will be playing basketball for Saint James this season, please note that the Basketball sports fee is now due to the main office.  The fee is $40 for developmental league players & $65 for JV and Varsity league players.  Please make checks out to Saint James School and note your child(ren)’s name(s) and basketball in the comments section of the check.

Halloween Colors Dress Down – Tomorrow

In keeping with the fun spirit of Halloween, students may come to school in dress down attire tomorrow (Friday, October 31st).  Dress down attire should include black, orange, purple, or green.  NO masks, costumes (except K and Pre-K), painted faces, or colored hair.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Boys Basketball Important Dates

Upcoming schedule for boys basketball:

Tonight:  Parents & Players Meeting in the cafeteria 6:00pm;

Thursday:  Varsity Blue and Gold Tryouts 7th & 8th grades from 6:00pm – 8:00pm;

Sunday:  TBA (potentially Varsity Blue);

Tuesday 11/4:  4th & 5th grade teams – player evaluations & team assignments from 5:00pm – 6:30pm;

Tuesday 11/4:  Varsity Gold practice 6:45 to 8:30pm;

Thursday 11/6:  JV team practice 5:00pm – 6:30pm &  Varsity Gold practice 6:30pm-8:30pm;

Friday 11/7:  JV team practice 5:30pm-7:30pm;

Saturday 11/8: 4th & 5th grade teams practice 9:00am-1:00pm (kids will be informed which time slot once the teams are named);

Sunday 11/9: Varsity Blue practice 1:00pm-3:00pm;

 

As coaches send in their dates and information, it will be posted on the basketball calendar which is available on the school website under the Extra Curricular tab, Basketball Page.

 

 

Saint James Cross Country & Team Picture

The Saint James Cross Country team finished their regular season with a 1st place win for the girls and 2nd place finish for the boys. Leading the charge for the Sabers was Isabelle B. who placed 2nd, Elizabeth M. in 4th, and  Ally A. in 5th.  Sophie K. & Lindsay O. also finished strong with 8th & 9th place finishes respectively.

The boys were led by 8th grader Ryan L., who placed 5th, followed by Nathan M., Dominic C. and 5th graders AJ B. & Michael R.

Select team members will be competing at the Middle School XC Championships at Wickham Park this Saturday, November 1st starting at 11am. This will conclude Saint James’ Cross Country season.

A huge thanks to Coach O’Neill for all her time and commitment in her first year as coach of the Saint James Cross Country team!  Also, thank you to all the students who participated and their parents for helping make this a great Cross Country season for Saint James School.
