Reminder: Book Fair Next Week!

Saint James School’s annual Scholastic Book Fair will take place next week!!!  The book fair is a great way to encourage reading and build home libraries.  It is also a great way to support our school as 50% of all purchases go directly to the school.

Next week, all students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair with their class.  Younger students (preK-3rd) will first make a “Wish List” and then they will then have a secondary opportunity to visit the fair to purchase the items on their wish list.  Students in Grades 4-8 will visit the fair one time to make purchases.

**Please remember to send along a shopping bag for your child’s purchases.

eWallet
Students can make purchases at the fair via cash, check, or eWallet.  The eWallet option is a convenient option that avoids children having to carry money to school.  We encourage you to sign up for eWallet by following this link to our bookfair homepage.

PLEASE NOTE:  Any unused funds from last year’s eWallets must be transferred to a NEW eWallet.  You can do this by logging into your Scholastic account, adding a new eWallet and loading your unused funds onto the new eWallet.  Also be sure to open an eWallet, NOT an eGiftcard.

Parent Shopping Hours
The book fair will be open for Parent Shopping Hours on Tuesday (9/23) from 7:15-7:45am and 1:30-2:30pm, and Wednesday (9/24) from 1:30-2:30pm. Parents who visit the fair will be able to enter a raffle so we encourage you to stop by!  This will also give you the opportunity to purchase books for your child’s classroom teacher.

Our book fair is also available online from 9/22 to 10/5 by clicking HERE.   All books ordered online will be shipped directly to your home and any book-only orders of $25 or more will ship for free.  Please do keep in mind that online orders earn only 25% profit for the school, not the same 50% as purchases made in-person at our fair.

Pre-Order New Releases
The newest Wimpy Kid book (release date of 10/21) and the newest Dog Man book (release date of 11/11) can be pre-ordered online.  If you order either of these titles during the time-frame of our school fair, the books will ship directly to you when they are released.  You can use the code FAIRSHIP to receive free shipping.
