Saint James School Annual Fund Campaign 2020

Donations to our 2020 Annual Fund campaign were in support of modifications and equipment purchases needed to safely reopen our school classrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020 Annual Fund Letter).

June 29, 2020

Dear Friends of Saint James School,

I hope this letter finds you and your family healthy during this unique and challenging time.  When I think back to this time last year or even just six months ago, it is almost unfathomable how much our daily lives can change in such a short period of time.  We know as a school, a community, a country, and a world we will come out stronger on the other side of this.  We know this because we have faith.

Our school teaches faith on a daily basis, and gives our students an important foundation to guide them through adversity. They understand compassion, gratitude, and being a part of something bigger than one’s own self.  We can have faith that our sacrifice during these times will lead us to a better tomorrow.

We are fortunate in having the generous support of our school community and the Saint James School Foundation. This support enabled us to have the technology and resources already in place to shift very quickly to distance learning this year.  It has also made it possible for us to offer financial aid to families dealing with layoffs and salary cuts.  This same support will help us weather these challenging times successfully and be ready to educate students for many decades to come.

While this is the time of year we usually kick off our Annual Fund campaign—and we are all trying to maintain a sense of normalcy during this pandemic—we realize that every individual is dealing with unique circumstances and challenges.  Therefore, we would like to do something a little different at this time.

With this letter we have included our typical donation card and return envelope, but we want you to use them differently this year.  While we always pray for our alumni and their families, we invite you to use the back of the donation card and return envelope to send us any special intentions you might have. Throughout the coming months we will ask our school families to join us in prayer for all special intentions received.  You can return your intentions to us anonymously or add your name.

If you have the means to do so and would also like to make a donation during this time, simply include that in the envelope as well or visit us online at https://saintjamesschool.net/annualfundDonations to our 2020 Annual Fund campaign will support school modifications and equipment purchases needed as we look to safely reopen our school classrooms in the fall.

As always, we hope you enjoy our latest edition of the Saint James School Community newsletter.  We look forward to sharing updates on how Saint James School will meet the challenges of the year ahead.

Peace in Christ,

Mrs. Bridget Zorger
Principal
