Today during during their STEM/STREAM class, 6th grade students worked in small groups to plan and construct a tower from dried spaghetti, tape, and string.  In addition to standing on its own, the tower also had to be sturdy enough to hold a large Marshmallow on top without collapsing under the weight.

The primary goals of the lesson were to encourage teamwork and explore structure design.  Students will use the knowledge gained in today’s challenge for other STEM/STREAM building projects throughout the year.  Here are some pictures sent in by Mrs. Poth
