On Friday, our 2nd graders finished up their STREAM segment on architecture.  The lesson began with discussing the book, “The World is Not a Rectangle: A Portrait of Architect Zaha Hadid” and viewing various structures from all over the world (using the classroom ViewBoards).  Over the three weeks, students learned some new vocabulary related to the study of architecture and used their imagination to make their own set of blueprints.  Finally, students created their structure using colorful note cards and completed a summary sheet detailing the name of their design and what make it unique/special.  Great work Sabers!
